Gaudi was native to Spain and loosely affiliated with the Art Nouveau movement. He was a devout Catholic, and spent the majority of his career designing churches and estate houses. He was inspired by the forms of nature and often imitated its curves and vibrant colors in his work, and is now regarded as one of the most unique architects who ever lived.
