You may have heard of Málaga in passing - often in movies and books, we hear about prominent Europeans vacationing or having a summer house there. The town is indeed popular with tourists throughout the Iberian peninsula as well as the rest of the continent. But did you know that it is also a great location or studying Spanish and immersing yourself in Spanish culture? Málaga's summer lasts from April to November - which for many people is convincing on its own!
Málaga, like several other towns in the south of Spain, contains many artifacts and overall remnants of Moor-era Spain, the most notable being the Alcazaba, a Moorish fortress available for tours. Other worthwhile sights to see are the birthplace of Picasso/Fundacion Picasso, Gibralfabro castle, the Roman theater, and any of the other relics of ancient times past! Did we mention the beach, and all of the great organized water sports there? Málaga is an ideal Spanish school location for people wanting to study Spanish while enjoying life in paradise!
